The Tumen Camel Festival, also known as the Ten Thousand Camel Festival
It was first organized in 1997 and is considered a pioneer in Mongolia's tourism industry. The festival features a Grand Prix camel race, which in 2016 saw 1,108 camels participate, setting a new Guinness world record.
The event takes place annually on March 6th and 7th in Dalanzadgad city of Umnugovi aimag.
It is organized by the Office of the Governor of Umnugovi aimag and the "Camel Culture - Racing Association" NGO.
